Sara Roque was born in Mexico City, Mexico and moved to the Houston, Texas area when she was 11 years old. She is a trial attorney currently specializing in criminal defense. Ms. Roque is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she studied history and philosophy. She earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where she was a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association. While at UH Law, she participated in the law school's Immigration Clinic, giving her a unique perspective on the immigration consequences that come with a criminal conviction.
Throughout her career Sara has worked cases ranging from misdemeanor DWIs to felony child abuse and murders. She has successfully represented people being investigated for child abuse and murder, allowing them to avoid charges all together. She has fought several cases at grand jury proceedings, earning no bills for her clients and helping them avoid an indictment. She is an experienced trial attorney who has tried DWIs as well as sexual abuse cases, child abuse cases and murders. In addition to an extensive State practice where she has earned hundreds of dismissals for her clients, Sara has represented clients in federal court accused of drug trafficking, money laundering, human trafficking and hostage takings.
Sara is completely bilingual in English and Spanish. She is an immigrant herself and understands the sacrifices people have to make to live in this country. Her life and cultural experience give her a unique empathy for her clients. She is known as an aggressive trial attorney who fights for her client's rights and liberty.
